The Golden State Warriors have put together one of the most impressive regular season performances in recent memory. The Warriors became just the 10th team in NBA history to win 67 regular season games.

Golden State never lost more than three games in a month, matching a feat most recently accomplished by Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls. Rookie head coach Steve Kerr deserves a lot of the credit for bringing in an offensive system that allows his talented players to play freely, while convincing his entire roster to defend.

 All-Star PG Stephen Curry is deserving of the MVP after posting averages of 23.8 points and 7.7 assists per game.

 The Pelicans clinched the final playoff spot on the last day of the regular season with a 108-103 home victory over the red hot San Antonio Spurs. Anthony Davis scored 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to propel his team into the playoffs for the first time since he was drafted.

 Tyreke Evans scored 19 points and handed out 11 assists on the evening. Most experts are predicting a sweep in this series, but New Orleans was able to beat the Warriors at home this month.

 The New Orleans Pelicans will look to ride their momentum from making the playoffs into Oracle Arena when they take on the Golden State Warriors on Saturday afternoon.
